Young filmmakers from across the nation gather in Washington D.C. for the IHTD Youth Film Festival
Their plans for the weekend included a World Premiere Screening of their films at the iconic restaurant, Busboys and Poets. But that’s just Saturday night! On Sunday, they gathered for a leadership training session, where they learned public speaking skills and practiced advocating for their causes in high-pressure situations, such as encounters with News-Media. On Monday, these young filmmakers took their causes and their new skills with them to Capital Hill, where they met with the staff of over fifteen different Representatives and Congresspeople. On Monday afternoon, IHTD participants attended the IHTD Congressional Film Screening, hosted by special guest, Congressmen Jim McGovern.
